There are many sites on the web that inspire me, whether that’s content, coding, layout, aesthetics, authenticity… you name it! Here are some of my favourites (mostly on Neocities, but sometimes elsewhere):
Pixel Glade
i like this site for its simple layout, green hosting, and I guess it just feels nice and calming, like sitting in the park on a sunny day.lazybones
ahh, I love the look of this site! The little Snoopy button is so cute murid
when I first found this site via someone’s links page, I was like… what’s so great about it? They’ve barely changed the index! But click those links and dig deeper — there’s some great and weird stuff on there! (Like this bizarre penis manga I spent an hour straight reading).
Tiny Paws
a whole website devoted to her dog! Solaria
a very pretty site full of great info!
crowpunk
not only is the site great, I love the fierceness of Crow& and feyr collective.
Owl's Roost
such an interesting and helpful site! I love the little secrets scattered around the site.
errormine
I love this layout! Reminds me of an old book you find in an op shop, smelling like mildew but full of interesting information, beautiful pictures, and the odd dried pressed flower stuck between pages.
Kale Chips
Fantastic website, full of great resources. I love the style too!
Patchwork of Shadows
I love the simple yet colourful aesthetics, and of course Shadow’s writings on disability! And there’s the option of the site in Cymraeg, which is pretty fuckin’ cool.
Wild Bread
A simple site of photos of bread in the wild. Why not?
Pleurodelinae
This site is just the lovely little nook of the web I like to stumble upon. Feels like an archivist’s storeroom.
